To ensure coalition work is informed by data, leverages existing resources, and builds the capacity of Yellowstone County to address complex social problems through multi-sector collaboration, SAC uses the widely regarded Collective Impact Framework. This framework has enabled many other cities and regions to address complex social problems through multi-sector collaboration.
A newly established Executive Committee consisting of key organization decision-makers, considered the “owners” of critical entry and exit points on the Crisis Continuum, authorizes the SAC budget. A Core Team, comprised of a full-time Executive Director, Support Staff for the Executive Committee, Task Force Chairs, and Core Consultants, possesses Program Authority and leads daily coalition work. However, the greatest force fueling SAC is the general and task force member network that today consists of more than 300 passionate community members, doing the boots-on-the-ground work.
